Follow Through

The biggest factor separating a good web deployment from great one is follow-through. It’s the actions you take in the months following the launch of a website that will make or break you. Ask yourself:

  1. Do we have a weekly blog post roll-out schedule?
  2. Do we have an action plan for responding to visitor trending and analytics
  3. Do we have a long-term strategy for maintaining top SERP position for specific keywords?

If the answer is “no” to any of the above, it’s time to take action.

Like it or not, websites are living, breathing things. And like all other living things, they require constant care and attention. The “set it and forget it” methods of yesteryear no longer apply. Websites of today can be likened to an endless journey; with content constantly changing to engage visitors and keep them coming back.

I understand the time and costs involved, but this isn’t a “should do” it’s a “must do”. If the goal is to achieve continuous traffic day after day, year after year, you need fresh and compelling content. It’s the only reason people visit a website more than once and the best way to convert visitors to customers. There is no question your investment will be sizable. But the return will be tenfold as you watch your business grow to heights you never thought possible.
